IM BACK ON HOME SOIL!!!
Oi, shamini and i almost went mad counting down on the plane, awaiting the time to touch down. The anticipationg wasnt that bad on the A380, considering that we were sitting together, at the front with lotsa leg space and having movies as entertainment. And i watched 4 shows back to back: kungfu dunk, jumper, ah long, juno.
And then we went crazy(or rather oi and i) cos it was our first time landing at T3 and we were surprised by the deco at the airport. It's getting prettier, so much so that we took photos in front of the mirror and at the immigration areas. If others didnt see that we were carrying red passports, they would probably think that we were visitors.
Then it was onto the collecting luggage and meeting pple. THANKS CHOONYONG, GEORGE AND YINGQI for coming to see me although we didnt talk v long cos i was rushed by my dad who was waiting at the pick up point.
Landing on home soil in air conditioned places is on thing, but stepping out into the natural environment was a totally different thing. i really thought that i couldnt breathe properly cos it was so hot and humid. Yes, it sounds like im hard to please, considering that im always complaining that it's cold in sydney but hey, it takes time to aclimatise!! im just gonna wear shorts and skirts and switch on air con to sleep.
And the first local food that i ate was... bak chor mee and ou jian at 85. i was complaining that i was hungry, even after being served dinner and refreshment on the plane, so dad and i walked there to eat and i basically finished the entire plate of ou jian by myself. lol. pig. but it was so shiok!!!! haha. i think my father thinks im crazy after i told him what i want to eat when im here and he said cannot eat so much at one time la. not good.. haha.. oh wells
Anyhows, i made my order for tmr's breakfast: black chai tau kway and tau huay. and jie's gonna fry chicken wings tmr for dinner!!!! she marinated the meat overnight too!!! yumyum.. ok.. i need to run so that i can eat more of this unhealthy food. lol.

Pardon my long hiatus from blogging.
Have been mugging to prepare for the paper and so cooping myself in my 'jail cell' for the past 3 days litertally from sun to thurs mon. I DIDNT TAKE A SINGLE STEP OUT OF THE APT! Still, i managed to get through the long awaited exam and now that it is fri night at 130am, with only 22 more hours to go before i land on spore soil.
I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR 28 JUNE 2008 FOR THE LONGEST TIME EVER!!
Shopping experiences after the exam didnt seem that exciting cos all of us had the same mentality: go for GSS will be much better. So didnt buy any clothes but bought alot of junk food.
Watching sunrise with jieyu on fri at coogee beach was worth the waking up at 530 and rushing for the first light and enjoying the bright yellow 'egg yolk' rise from the horizon. And thank God for watching over me as some idiotic jerk continued doing a right turn while we were crossing the road when it was green man. A few more steps slower and i would not be able to return to spore in one piece!!!! And to think the he CONTINUED driving on without stopping!!! DRUNKEN a*** h***!!! sheesh!! luckily it didnt hit me but the trauma after that was definitely there. I cross road now with extra extra care.
Last post in aust before im back in spore!!!
Friends!!! start dating me!!! I ONLY HAVE 3 SHORT WEEKS IN SPORE! and it will zoom past before i know it!!!
Alrights! hokkien mee, bak chor mee, char kway teow, prata etc etc.... here i come!!! ~whee!!

This is just a random entry to help me destress.
- Not only is it cold, it is WINDY AND WET! so yeah, even if i use the umbrella to shleter from the rain, the wind will blow the droplets onto me. And the wind that we are having now is so strong that i can literally be blown a step or two away. my poor umbrella cant tahan the strong wind. it will break anytime!!! Even if i carry a huge umbrella, im afraid that the big surface area will cause an airlift and blow me and the umbrella away. No need to go to the beach for a breeze, the wind here is sufficient.
- Having steamboat on a cold day is good(:
- People are starting to call me auntie, because of oi who started this. Just because i know which places have offers does not make me an auntie. Im helping them to save money!! No more grocery shopping for steamboat stuff. They can pay extravagant amount for some miserly food.
- Assignment and project are done ((:
- Which means that the exam is coming, which leads to more stress. Doesnt help that the weather makes me all the more gloomy
- But then again, it's 13 more days to HOME!!!!
- I think i miss home so much that im starting to dream about family, friends and food.
- HAPPY FATHER'S DAY DADDY! Although australians dont celebrate this occassion until sept. Weird that diff countries have diff days for father's day but mother's day is the same day.

3.5 weeks!!!!!argh!!! Although i have a gazillion things to complete, im going HOME!!! yeah!!
Winter is officially here. And it starts with wet and windy days that will continue through the week. sianss!!! Feels even more gloomy now. the wind is so strong that my umbrella will snap anytime..
ok anw.. random happenings. Went to the city on sunday after no idea how many weeks ago. Cos Joo and her fren, Therese, wanted to attend mass at st mary's cathedral, which is the biggest and oldest church in sydney. And really, i didnt expect it to be THAT HUGE and that pretty!! And the nice part was that alot of the things were sung, either in english or latin, by the all boys chior. IT WAS REALLY MAGICAL cos they sang some parts in acapella, with really great harmonising. And cos the young boys, of maybe 7-10 years old sang the soprano parts accompanied by the older boys' deeper voices, the phrase 'choir of angels' fitted perfectly at that point in time. love it love it (:
and the cute thing is that they wear those gowns with those frilly things that cover their necks. Some of them even have medals, probably to show how zai they are compared to the rest.

the whole length of the church taken when we were walking towards it.
the looooong aisle towards the altar. was thinking that it will be so cool to have a wedding here. but then finding guests to fill the seats can be rather challenging

the view from the main entrance. its really tall.
after that it was lunch at delifrance and i had krispy kreme!!! yum! it taste way better than the donut factory ones in spore, although it's alot more exp too. oh well, seldom go to the city anyway.
ok, back to being a hermit
